Welcome to ARTVenture

Where your Art Journey Begins!

At ARTVenture, we provide structured art programmes designed to bring out children's interest in art as well as organising and participating in various events to promote a person with dyslexia's talents. Whether your child has an avid drawer or just enjoys doodling around, your child will learn at his/her own pace and develop his/her skills according to each individual's interest area. We also provide opportunities for DAS students who love art to participate in art events and competitions.

Celebrating Our Children's Talent, Embracing their Strengths

As we drive towards helping people with dyslexia achieve through the various programmes to support them, their strengths are often not seen. ARTVenture exists to complement the wide range of academic programmes we have, to support our students, to recognise our students’ talents in art and to help them express themselves in various artistic forms. ARTVenture aspires to celebrate the uniqueness of art from the perspectives of a child with dyslexia and be an active voice of positive dyslexia through the use of art.

ARTVenture Supports DAS Children to Pursue Art

ARTVenture Programmes are designed especially for children with dyslexia in mind, making it suitable for all children who enjoy learning art in a structured and multisensorial way. Every child deserves an art education - ARTVenture believes that all children should be given an equal opportunity to pursue their talent regardless of socio-economic background. All DAS students in Main Literacy Programme are entitled to generous subsidies when they enrol into our ARTVenture short-term programmes.

ArtVenture – launched in 2016 as a platform for our students to showcase their passion and strengths, apart from their everyday academic pursues.  Art
Venture inculcates mindsets of positive dyslexia to the mass and strives to change the way people perceive ‘disadvantages’ found in having dyslexia to ‘advantages’, through a change of perspectives.

ARTVenture is organised by Specialised Educational Services (SES), a division of the Dyslexia Association of Singapore. SES programmes are tailored to fit the learning needs of students with a learning difference.

SES Programmes are NOT funded by the Ministry of Education (MOE), the MOE only supply a grant for the DAS Main Literacy Programme (MLP).

Connecting our children to the Art Community

At ARTVenture, we are always looking for opportunities to work with community partners and stakeholders to provide opportunities for our children to experience art from a wider perspective and to gain exposure to the Singapore art scene.

ART EVEnts Collage

ARTVenture is a huge supporter of the Embrace Dyslexia movement as we believe in the dyslexics' strengths. One of them is their high level of creativity in various areas. ARTVenture organises and participates in events to help promote awareness of dyslexics' strengths and to provide a platform for our DAS children to showcase their talents to everyone out there!

How are the lessons at the DAS different from what is available enrichment centres?

ARTVenture programmes are conducted by DAS Educational Therapists who have been art teachers or trained in an art school to deliver our art programmes.
